      Jose Sanchez is the Executive Chef at Tradition Golf Club.  Chef Sanchez oversees all culinary operations at Tradition including Clubhouse dining, the Coyote Cafe, golf tournaments and special events.  He is grateful for the opportunity to display his culinary talents here at Tradition Golf Club, a club he considers one of the best in the country.

      The love affair with the kitchen and cooking dates back to Chef's early childhood years at the family farm in southern Mexico.  He was inspired by his grandmother and mother's fresh organic cooking and was fortunate to experience a very unique opportunity farming and growing organic food that included all meats, poultry, legumes, and vegetables.  Over the years, Chef built on his culinary background to develop a distinctive cooking style that he describes as a fresh approach to California cuisine using organic ingredients.

      Chef is no stranger to the golf club scene.   In his 32 years in the culinary field in the U.S., he has had the opportunity to work at some of the most exclusive clubs in the country such as Maidstone Club in East Hampton, New York; National Golf Links in Southampton, New York; Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach, California; the Preserve Golf Club in Carmel Valley, California; and most recently spent a summer working for Winged Foot Golf Club in Westchester, New York.

      Chef Sanchez is a certified Culinary Manager through the American Culinary Federation.  He remains active to seek inspiration and complete his continuing education.  Chef lives in La Quinta and enjoys playing golf and cooking for family and friends in his free time.

      Javier comes to Tradition with over 30 years of hospitality experience in private country clubs and hotels. Javier worked at Thunderbird Country Club for sixteen years as a locker room attendant, server, and bartender; he was promoted and worked for nine years in their Club management. For the past five years, he has managed restaurant operations at the Miramonte Resort and Rancho Las Palmas. His passion for the club atmosphere has brought him back to the arena he loves and he is looking forward to providing a truly memorable experience for our members and their guests.
